Bought this lovely handwoven rug at a street stall in the Zaachila Market. It's shades of green come from all natural dyes made from alfafa. Or at least that's what the very charming Pedro who sold it to me had to say.
There's so many beautiful things to buy in Oaxaca. And once you go out and meet the makers and see everything involved in the process, it makes it that much more beautiful. In this day and age, the truly handmade is a beautiful thing.
