We were lucky enough to have the opportunity to visit with the ever talented Humberto Bautista in his humble studio at the back of an apartment complex on Porfirio Diaz
I LOVE his found object assemblages.
Always love his wall of masks.
Plus this year we went to the upstairs studio and I was so mesmerized just looking at shelves of cigar boxes neatly labeled with their contents, and all manner of crucifixes and armadillo shells that I forgot about the camera....
It was really just lovely to spend the cocktail hour drinking mezcal and pondering Mexico and masks.
