My most off-the-beaten-path tour heads to the land of the Mixteco people on the Oaxacan Coast, where we explore slow fashion and native textiles visiting many village artisans. Plus, world-class birding, turtle sanctuary, bioluminescent mangrove swamps and deep nature experiences. Long time compañera Alison Albrecht joins me to make sure we’re living our best lives. January 2024 finds me touring in the high mountain town of San Cristobal Chiapas, where we take a deep dive into contemporary Mayan culture. We visit 5 different villages and learn about their ritual and ceremonial life mixing Catholic and native beliefs.
