Here's a photo snapped on the plane of a slightly nervous, very excited Jill on her way to Mexico. I believe this was shortly before takeoff in Houston when Jill very seriously inquired of the stewardess , " Didn't she think there were perhaps a few too many people on the plane for it to actually lift off and stay in the air?". Which seems like a very reasonable question unless you go on blind faith or you understand the physics of aerodynamics. This is all by way of saying, we packed ninety seven and a half pounds of art supplies, some warm weather clothes, walking shoes, and good attitudes and headed off to Oaxaca.....a time in which Jill, with the aid of some good homeopathics, conquered her fear of flying and left the US for the first time to come and bring her special brand of teaching to some lucky souls deep in the heart of Mexico.
