Has the relentless spin of  the life you lead made the song of your muse seem  faint and  far away?  Take time to immerse your creative soul in  the restorative magic of Oaxaca, Mexico with Jewel and Jill  on an amazing 10 day  art adventure!  This year we'll play around with simple drawing techniques  (as the best way to absorb and integrate our experience), have fun with printmaking of various sorts, find new ways to alter and use  photos, muck about with watercolor and  make a set of little journals to work in to remind us  beautifully of all aspects of our  times spent together in this most inspiring of places.   We'll be visiting the studios of local (internationally known) artists,  & meet artisans expert in  the rich  craft traditions of the area.  We'll uncover  the hidden life messages encoded in ancient ruins and the enigmatic smiles of medieval santos.   La Maestra, Jill Cardinal,  will gently and with unconditional positive regard  guide us in helping our own art to unfold in all its unique possibilities, alternating  time (free and guided) in our private studio with adventuresome forays into the countryside to observe and record  the beauties of astounding baroque churches and over the top market places. There will also be ample time to  shop,  eat fantastic regional food, and loll in the beautiful courtyard garden of CASA COLONIAL, our home away from home on this trip, enjoying the company of our simpatico compadres, and the extensive  folk art collection that the CASA is home to. You will return from this trip with your journal & new ideas and techniques, enhanced confidence in your  own creative abilities and a satisfying feeling of having been cared for, amazed and inspired.

This trip is open to all skill levels beginner to advance.  For the full itineray and costs go here:
