I love this picture so much. It's Colleen from our recent tour and a woman from the red pottery town of San Marcos near Tlacolula. I think these two are probably about the same age and I ponder the very different lives each of them have led. At 5'2", if that,Colleen was the tiniest amongst us and here she is towering at least a full head above our friend from San Marcos who was the president of the town ceramic co-operative. As such, she was in the big city doing her stint working at the artisan co-op. You can see how proud she is of their red pottery. If you have ever eaten at Casa Oaxaca you have probably eaten off some of their wares. She could not have been more gracious, agreeing to pose for this pic and showing us how she does her headwrap with the long scarf.
