Here's a very beautiful, very moving half hour documentary about a cultural project in the small village of Tanivet in the Central Valley of Oaxaca on your way to Tlacolula. Local women talk about art making and using art as a tool of empowerment to address issues of immigration and loss.
It's, among other things, a chance to look at immigration from the eyes of those people who never leave home, but nonetheless suffer the loss of loved ones. We don't hear from them often enough.
